Sometimes for newcomers to efeds, the general idea of an rp is overwhelming and you find yourself struggling to contend with the seasoned members of the roster. Well here is a guide to writing and/or improving your rps!
==============================================
. Sometimes an rp needs planning. Simply laying out rps and making a list of ideas can be really helpful in writing a great rp. This step may not be for everyone as some people (including myself) like to dive into an rp and write as material comes to them, this isn't always the best idea, but it isn't deterred.
. While we all know how Triple H and Chris Jericho act on the mic, there is no reason why you can't put your personal stamp on things when you rp, in fact it is encouraged here in WFU. You can take a real wrestler and change his gimmick or simply how he talks on the microphone, why can't Chris Jericho speak Spanish or Rey Mysterio use words like "Gelatinous" and "reprehensible" be creative!
. Of course we all look for quality in an rp. Whether you plan a perfect RP or have made an original gimmick, this kind of work won't win a match:
"X-Pac walks down 2 the ring, he gets a mic. "I'm gonna win! I you don't agree, you can go get your stupid headbands on and join the kindergarden kids in supporting Cena!"
See what I mean? There are numbers instead of words and the rp is all over the place. Try being descriptive and introduce the reaeder to the environment, describe the feeling of the rp and give as much detail as the rp deserves. I'm not asking for 10k masterpiece or something to rival the works of a New York Times Bestseller, but rps should be decent. Before you post ask yourself, is this my best work? Have I put the effort in?
. While some outside material and descriptive language helps add some flavour to your rp, don't stray from the point. For example, X-Pac is facing John Cena and maybe some talk about how he has been with the best wrestlers and adopted their styles (NWO & DX) or maybe even how he beat Kane last week, he must remember it's Cena he is facing. Try to keep the rp anchored to a centre point.
. As painstaking as it is, every rp needs some editing. Proofread your rps and alter some sentences and fix those spelling errors and trust me, your rp will be improved tenfold. You'll win matches with a good quality, decent length rps, not with a sloppy 3k mess of an rp.

Hopefully these tips will help you to achieve better rps.
